You WILL be able to ENDURE...
The verse today, as you are half way through the week, is there to encourage and strengthen you. Trials come. What happens when they do?
I Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you beyond what people normally experience, and God can be trusted not to allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. On the contrary, along with the temptation he will also provide the way out, so that you will be able to endure. (CJB)
As we know, trials happen. Temptations come. This whole chapter makes it clear that the Hebrew children were tempted often and often failed. Some times it caused them to die. One day 23,000 died in one day because of the sins of the people.
This particular verse tells us that God will allow us to be “trusted” but not tempted beyond what we can bear. And what He does allow us to be tempted us with is not beyond what people normally experience.
God, however, PROVIDES a WAY OUT! God also PROVIDES ENDURANCE.
He PROMISES us that we WILL be able to ENDURE what is given to us. HE will give us the STRENGTH to walk through EVERYTHING HE sends our way.
We often get discouraged and tired on the journey. We often FEEL like we cannot make it through the temptations.
These are the moments we MUST HOLD ON to the PROMISES of God and BELIEVE that HE will provide a way out. This is why we MUST HIDE His WORD in our hearts and SPEAK them in order to FIGHT the discouragement.
Take these Words and CLAIM them as your own today. KNOW that GOD is WITH YOU and BELIEVES in YOU.
