Time to clean house...

Matthew 12:43-45

43 “When an unclean spirit comes out of a person, it travels through dry country seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says to itself, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house standing empty, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they come and live there — so that in the end, the person is worse off than he was before. This is how it will be for this wicked generation.”

A wicked generation... One unclean spirit left, seven came back with it, so now there is eight. We try to clean out what we don't want, it attempts to get back at us with more.

How do you fight this? How do you clean out what isn't needed? How can you make sure that it doesn't happen?

In these verses Jesus does not give us teachings on how to maintain a "clean house." He simply lets us know that we need to be on guard so the unclean spirit does NOT enter upon return.

The wicked will not care. They will simply "let things go again." They won't try to "keep things clean." This is what should not happen...

Our responsibility is to keep things out. Be cautious in what you read and watch. Find a way to balance "in the world, but not of it." I believe we have to know what is happening around us, but it doesn't mean we take it in our hearts. We can read and have knowledge, but still stand on Truth.

Adonai knows our hearts. We need to trust that He wants us to share with Him and give Him all our worries, troubles and secrets. Then we give Him thanks and praise for what He is doing and has done. These steps will help keep our inner house clean. Knowing and understanding that He is for us, not against us, will give us what we need to fight off the unclean spirits that try to creep in.

Take His Truths today and make them REAL for you. Don't let your house get "unclean." Walk in that authority and when the unclean tries to rise up, you take it and put it down.

Love and blessings,

Rose
