The Will of the Father

Matthew 26:55-56

55 Then Yeshua addressed the crowd: “So you came out to take me with swords and clubs, the way you would the leader of a rebellion? Every day I sat in the Temple court, teaching; and you didn’t seize me then. 56 But all this has happened so that what the prophets wrote may be fulfilled.” Then the talmidim all deserted him and ran away.

If ever Jesus was going to feel alone, this is the time. All the disciples deserted Him and ran away.

The comforting factor for Jesus was He knew the Words of the Prophets and He knew the heart of the Father. He KNEW that all of these things HAD to happen in order for God's plan to be revealed.

His questions to the leaders and the crowd, "Why didn't you take me when I sat in the Temple courts? You could have taken me peacefully!"

Why did the leaders wait and come with swords and clubs? Did they really think Jesus would rebel? It shows how little the crowds really knew about Jesus...

Today, be thankful that God KNOWS the plans for you and that as you REST and LEAN into His Words and teachings, HE will lead and guide. Things may not always be clear, but He has the best in mind for you.

Just like Jesus knew that others would walk away, He also knew that the Father was in control. He trusted the Father.

Love and blessings,

Rose
