Return to your REST...
Shabbat! Time to REST! We have reached another Friday and I am looking forward to stopping and LISTENING!
Psalm 116:7
My soul, return to your rest!
For Adonai has been generous toward you. (CJB)
David wrote this and was THANKING God that HE had taken care of him. He was remembering that God HAD done SO much for him and he was telling himself to RETURN to the REST that GOD provides.
Sometimes we get so caught up in work and activities that we forget all that GOD has done. We need to STOP, focus and REMEMBER that HE has been GENEROUS toward us.
When we remember - we RETURN to REST.
As you enter another Shabbat, be THANKFUL for what God has done. REMEMBER how generous HE is! And when you do… you will find REST!
