His Presence in Hurt

Matthew 26:14-16

14 Then one of the Twelve, the one called Y’hudah (Judas) from K’riot, went to the head cohanim (Priest) 15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I turn Yeshua over to you? ”They counted out thirty silver coins and gave them to Y’hudah. 16 From then on he looked for a good opportunity to betray him.

Zechariah 11:12

I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; if not, don’t.” So they weighed out my wages, thirty silver [shekels, that is, twelve ounces].

The thirty pieces of silver were a prophecy fulfilled from Zechariah. I love how God takes His Words and fulfills them.

I'm sure that the people were curious and uncertain. I'm sure that they were wondering how the prophecies would be fulfilled. I'm sure that when they heard Words like this spoken they began processing the Words from the Prophets and how pieces fit together.

It is the same for us today. We need to read the Word of God and understand how it is still LIVING and active for us today. We need to read the Word of God and realize that it can still teach us today.

Judas betrayed... We all know that this was part of God's plan. We also know that it still hurt. His Words and actions hurt.

Sometimes God's plan includes steps that we don't like. But, God does work ALL things together for good for those who love Him.

How does God want us to respond today? Constantly be aware. Constantly look for HIS actions we need to share with those around us. We should understand that His Words could hurt, but we walk out the pain with His Presence surrounding us.

Let's realize that He is alive and well. His Words will be the lamp to our feet and light to our path.

Love and blessings,

Rose
