God is not so unfair...
I admit to being a little tired today. It is a Thursday. I know Shabbat is coming. Weather this week has been cool, then sunny, than rainy and well… I guess coming off a holiday for several days, I’m just tired.
There have also been some circumstances that discouraged me. People not getting along. People who want to get work done for the Kingdom who can’t sort things and “part ways.” There are days that ministry work is tiring (not that other work isn’t - I don’t want to imply that). There are days that a person wants to say, “why can’t we just get along when we are trying to do Kingdom work?”
Because I am tired, I looked up verses about being tired. There are all the normal ones like, “Come to Me all who are weary…” “soar on wings like eagles…” And then there was another hidden gem in the book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 6:10
For God is not so unfair as to forget your work and the love you showed for him in your past service to his people — and in your present service too. (CJB)
I did not read the whole chapter this time, although I have used verses from this chapter before. This verse brought a comfort and peace to my soul. Once again I was reminded that GOD CARES for ME. He has not forgotten ALL that I have done. HE has not forgotten the services I have given to His people.
These words bring me JOY. These words bring me HOPE. I know that as long as I am doing my best to serve HIM, and serve HIS people, than HE will not forget me.
Words like this give me the strength to keep RUNNING THE RACE. Words like this give me the courage to just LISTEN to what HE wants me to do and serve HIM and HIM ALONE.
Your challenge today is - DO NOT BECOME DISCOURAGED. God is NOT unfair. He will NOT forget YOU. He will NOT forget the LOVE you show HIM and those HE loves.
Walk in that PROMISE today. Take heart and keep going. He really does LOVE YOU!
