Father pursues YOU
Matthew 18:12-14
12 “What’s your opinion? What will somebody do who has a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine on the hillsides and go off to find the stray? 13 And if he happens to find it? Yes! I tell you he is happier over it than over the ninety-nine that never strayed! 14 Thus your Father in heaven does not want even one of these little ones to be lost.
Not one little one... The Father truly does care for everyone in the world. His desire is for everyone to choose Him. He is the One Who will pursue ALL people.
Stop and think about relationships. In today's world "boundaries" have been set up because of pain and hurt. We often stop pursuing people because of past situations. Once we have been hurt, we stop and walk away. If the person chooses not to "pursue" us, than we just leave. Relationships between humans are up and down and a bit crazy at times.
The Father does not do that. IF we are in the proper mindset of knowing He loves us, than we realize that He never gives up on us and He will always pursue us. Even if we hurt Him or do something wrong, He will always be there.
Sheep in Israel are worth money. If the shepherd loses one he will go look for it. How much more will the Father look for YOU???? You are HIS creation and worth so much more to Him because you are created in His image.
The Good Shepherd is there always. You might wander away. When you know that He is pursuing you, don't run further. Let Him pick you up and take care of you.
