Do NOT lose courage...
Today’s verse is from my YouVersion Bible App. I LOVE opening it up and finding a verse that brings HOPE and COURAGE!
2 Corinthians 4:16
This is why we do not lose courage. Though our outer self is heading for decay, our inner self is being renewed daily. (CJB)
Our physical bodies are decaying away. We recently heard about the death of a friend. She was 70 and had lived a good life, but she still had an untimely death from a heart attack as she was driving her car and stopped at a red light. Brings everything into perspective and makes us stop and realize that life is short.
Our outer self is decaying away… There are days I admit that I want to lose courage. I wonder what the meaning of life is. I wonder why God wants me here if people really don’t care about Him and His teachings.
Then I realize that with the reading of the Word, HIS Words, I can be RENEWED. I can find HOPE. I don’t need to lose courage.
Stop and CLAIM this promise today. BELIEVE that your inner self is RENEWED by the reading of HIS Word. Don’t lose courage. WALK in the HOPE that even though this world is wasting away, we have a ANSWER in HIM!
This world really is not our home. He is our REST and SALVATION.
Your inner self can have PEACE, JOY, and HOPE in the middle of all the craziness and chaos that is happening around us in society. BELIEVE it!
