As for me and my house...
Decisions… Some are easy. Some are difficult. There are times that it is challenging to really know what God wants you to do because both decisions have positives and negatives. There is one decision that should be an obvious.
Joshua 24:15
If it seems bad to you to serve Adonai, then choose today whom you are going to serve! Will it be the gods your ancestors served beyond the River? or the gods of the Emori, in whose land you are living? As for me and my household, we will serve Adonai!” (CJB)
WHO will you choose to serve? This was the question Joshua gave to the Children of Israel. He watched and observed as they began to follow the gods of the people around them. They began to walk away from the God who had provided for them and taken care of them.
Joshua challenged the Children of Israel to CHOOSE. Make a choice! WHO is going to be your God?
Joshua then made a strong statement that NO MATTER WHAT, he was going to SERVE Adonai. He was going to teach his family what it meant to follow the one true God - the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
These are decisions that we need to make today. Times are getting more and more difficult, and following God is not an easy choice anymore. More and more countries are putting restrictions on Christians and want to limit activities they can participate in.
