A shield and guard...
Proverbs 2:6-11
For Adonai gives wisdom;
from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
7 He stores up common sense for the upright,
is a shield to those whose conduct is blameless,
8 in order to guard the courses of justice
and preserve the way of those faithful to him.
9 Then you will understand righteousness, justice,
fairness and every good path.
10 For wisdom will enter your heart,
knowledge will be enjoyable for you,
11 discretion will watch over you,
and discernment will guard you.
Adonai gives wisdom...
HE stores up COMMON SENSE! How often is that discussed today? "If only people had common sense...." Well, where do we get it from? The WORD of God. What isn't being read today? The WORD of God!!!
The wisdom of Adonai is a SHIELD and GUARD to those who walk in His ways... It PRESERVES those who are faithful.
Friends, the PROMISES in these verses are HUGE. Do you really understand what happens when you choose to FOLLOW HIS WAYS? It actually says that, "knowledge will be enjoyable to you."
Oh how my heart hungers to just go deeper and deeper into an understanding of HIS Truth.
If only more would turn their hearts toward HIS teachings and HIS ways. Our world would not be so messed up.
But, He gives us free will and choice. We have to LISTEN to His teachings. Sometimes they are hard to hear. Sometimes it means facing difficult times and moments. When we choose to listen and obey, we have peace in the midst of those trials.
Today, be THANKFUL that He is with you. That as you SEEK Him in Spirit and Truth, HE will guard you and be your shield. HE will give you wisdom and understanding. Hold onto those promises today.
