I too have LOVED YOU...

Another verse about love… God’s love. Some might think, this gets old, but I truly believe that right now we must focus on HIS love. We need to truly understand how much HE loves us.

So today the verse is from John 15:9

Just as my Father has loved me, I too have loved you; so stay in my love. (CJB)

The Father loved Jesus… What an amazing thing to think about.

And then, Jesus says that just as the Father has loved Him, HE LOVES US!

Actually He says, “I too have LOVED YOU.”

The final phrase is what makes this verse end in such a way that we must read on. It says, “so stay in my love.”

HOW do we STAY in His love???

We have to read verse 10

If you keep my commands, you will stay in my love — just as I have kept my Father’s commands and stay in his love.

IF you KEEP my commands, you will stay in my love…

What does it mean by commands? What commands did Jesus have to follow?

I have taught on this before, but the Jews only had the Torah to follow. They knew what God had given to Moses, and what God had told the prophets. These scripts had the Words of God and the commands of God. The only commands that Jesus taught His followers to obey were those in the Torah.

He made it clear that to Love the Lord Your God with all your heart, soul and mind was the most important. Loving your neighbor as yourself was the second most important. BUT, ALL of the Torah was to be followed and obeyed.

IF we are keeping those commands, we can stay in the love of the Father and that includes the LOVE of JESUS.

Friends, claim HIS love today. Follow HIS commands so you can stay in HIS LOVE. There is no better place to be! HE LOVES YOU!!

Love and blessings,

Rose
