HE KNOWS those who take refuge in Him...
Today’s verse is from the book of Nahum! I am sure many of us do not realize that this book would have a verse like this in it since it is not a book we read very often. However, many of the prophets have encouraging words that can bring HOPE to our day.
Nahum 1:7
The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him. (RSV)
Adonai is good,
a stronghold in time of trouble;
he takes care of those
who take refuge in him. (CJB)
What a comfort for all of us.
HE KNOWS those who take refuge in Him.
HE TAKES CARE OF THOSE who take refuge in Him.
Both of these versions stress that He KNOWS us and TAKES CARE OF US! We can HOLD TO these PROMISES!
We can definitely know that HE is GOOD! He is absolutely a STRONGHOLD in a time of trouble.
A verse, tucked away in a book rarely read. A true promise for us all.
