Worth more than a sparrow...
Matthew 10:28-30
28 “Do not fear those who kill the body but are powerless to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who can destroy both soul and body in Gei-Hinnom (hell). 29 Aren’t sparrows sold for next to nothing, two for an assarion? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s consent. 30 As for you, every hair on your head has been counted. 31 So do not be afraid, you are worth more than many sparrows.
Comforting words... YOU are worth more than many sparrows. YOU have EVERY hair on your head counted.
God made you with a soul. Emotions are there for a reason. Jesus' words should ring true for us. Hurting the body is painful, but when the soul is "killed" then hope is lost. We need to fear the people/situations that kill both the body and the soul.
We all know people who have had tragedy after tragedy, or maybe a major situation that left them physically disabled, but their soul was never killed and they continue to walk out life with JOY and expectation. They chose NOT to let their soul get "killed" when their body was struck.
As individuals, we need to take control of our thoughts and hold them captive. We need to focus on bringing hope to the SOUL. When we have hope in our soul, our physical is better.
STOP letting people and situations hurt your soul. KNOW that HE is your companion and let HIM care for you. YOU have more worth than a sparrow. Believe it and walk in it!
