Trust in Adonai FOREVER!
TRUST! This word is found often in the Bible. Here is another verse which shows us WHY we should trust.
Isaiah 26:4
Trust in Adonai forever,
because in Yah Adonai,
is a Rock of Ages.” (CJB)
Adonai is a ROCK. A rock is something that is firm and a foundation. If a house is built on the right foundation it cannot be shaken.
If we build our foundation on the WORD of God, we have a solid foundation. When the winds come, our faith should not be shaken.
I will be the first to admit that there have been times along the way that my faith has been shaken. There have been moments that I wonder if I have truly have faith even like a mustard seed. I wonder if God knows me.
Then I read a verse like this. I am quickly reminded that God does know me. In the middle of my pain and my questioning, HE still cares. HE still wants me to TRUST Him and walk with Him.
I love how the Word of God places pieces in the middle of a storm to remind us that HE is in control. HE can bring peace even when the wind is blowing.
Make HIM your ROCK today. When you TRUST Him, HE will be YOUR Rock of ages and will be there FOREVER!

(I wrote this, and then realized that last November I used this verse and verse 3 in another devotional. Some of my emphasis is the same, but it doesn’t hurt to be reminded again of HIS plan for us to trust).
