He will whisper to you...
Matthew 10:24-27
24 “A talmid (disciple/student) is not greater than his rabbi, a slave is not greater than his master. 25 It is enough for a talmid that he become like his rabbi, and a slave like his master. Now if people have called the head of the house Ba‘al-Zibbul (Beelzebul), how much more will they malign the members of his household! 26 So do not fear them; for there is nothing covered that will not be uncovered, or hidden that will not be known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.
This section of verses is quite scattered in thought. To write every detail and word would have been quite challenging, so I'm sure Matthew gave us the main ideas and topics as he heard them. It will be great to someday be able to find out the pieces that seem to be missing so we can get the whole picture of all Jesus desired to tell us. Until then, we trust that HE continues to speak to us and guides us and that HIS Words are still active and living for all of us!
The thought of people calling on the head of the "devil" (basically the description given for the name Beelzebul) is frightening. The fact that they will malign themselves with these thoughts and ideas is enough to make my stomach churn. Why would anyone make a choice to live in fear and be bound?
Jesus makes it clear that we do not need to fear these people. He tells his followers that there is "nothing covered that will not be uncovered." Nothing "hidden that will not be known."
What GOD tells us is what needs to be shared. What GOD whispers to us is what needs to be proclaimed around the world.
As you continue to learn and grow, you will find that HE will bring what you need. HE will reveal to you the secrets He wants shared. Just trust that He is still speaking to you. Trust that HE is guiding you.
