Make me HEAR of Your love...
The past couple of days I have been asking God for new and fresh verses. This is one He showed me a couple of days ago. Psalm 143:8 Make me hear of your love in the morning, because I rely on you. Make me know the way I should walk, because I entrust myself to you. (CJB) I read this and knew they were special. Make me HEAR of Your LOVE… when? In the morning! First thing I should do when I wake up is LISTEN for His LOVE. I should do this because I RELY on HIM. HE is my source

Return to your REST...
Shabbat! Time to REST! We have reached another Friday and I am looking forward to stopping and LISTENING! Psalm 116:7 My soul, return to your rest! For Adonai has been generous toward you. (CJB) David wrote this and was THANKING God that HE had taken care of him. He was remembering that God HAD done SO much for him and he was telling himself to RETURN to the REST that GOD provides. Sometimes we get so caught up in work and activities that we forget all that GOD has done. We n

We BLESS you from the house...
We have reached another Shabbat. Another time to focus up to HIM and REST. Because Passover is ending, I have chosen a couple of verses from the Psalms of Hallel (Praise) that are read during this week. Psalm 118:25-26 Please, Adonai! Save us! Please, Adonai! Rescue us! Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai. We bless you from the house of Adonai. (CJB) Truly we can say, “THANK YOU, ADONAI” for saving us and rescuing us. We are BLESSED and KNOW that we are because we c

Adonai HEARD my voice!
This is still Passover week for 2019. As a family we are continuing to read the Psalms that are known as “Hallels” or Psalms of Praise. Psalm 116:1-2 I love that Adonai heard my voice when I prayed; because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live. (CJB) The whole chapter has LOTS to share with us. I chose these two verses because they are important for us to understand that ADONAI HEARS US! When we pray… When we speak to Him… When we CRY out to Him… HE t

Give THANKS!!!
Today is a day to GIVE THANKS! During Passover there are Psalms read and sung. In the Temple there was a choir. There was singing! This one was known as the great Hallel of Praise! Psalm 136 - I will give a couple verses and encourage you to read the whole chapter! Give thanks to Adonai, for he is good, for his grace continues forever. Give thanks to the God of gods, for his grace continues forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his grace continues forever; Give thank

Even when they SLEEP!
We have reached another Shabbat and my verse is again about REST! This verse actually uses the word, “sleep,” but it is the idea of STOPPING. Psalm 127:2 In vain do you get up early and put off going to bed, working hard to earn a living; for he provides for his beloved, even when they sleep. (CJB) So many in today’s world work non-stop. They believe that in order to get ahead and to achieve something they must always be working. There is truth in the fact that hard-workers a

Lift up your heads!
Today is the first day of the week… For most people this is known as a Sunday. I was led to give thanks. Rejoice. Due to a verse on my BibleApp I went back to the book of Psalm. Psalm 24:7-8 Lift up your heads, you gates! Lift them up, everlasting doors, so that the glorious king can enter! Who is he, this glorious king? Adonai, strong and mighty, Adonai, mighty in battle. (CJB) Verse 1 of this chapter was what I first read… It left me hanging a little so I kept reading. This

Your comforts CHEER me up!
Another verse from Psalm my friends! Another comfort and promise that David wrote to encourage himself… Psalm 94:19 When my cares within me are many, your comforts cheer me up. (CJB) This verse was encouraging to me when I read the word CHEER. Who doesn’t LOVE to be CHEERED UP? Especially when “my cares within me are many.” We all carry worries. We all have cares that weigh us down. David wrote this Psalm when his enemies were pursuing him and trying to over take him. He was

Rest ON God...
We have reached another Shabbat! Time to REST… Here is another verse to focus on rest: Psalm 62:8 My safety and honor rest on God. My strong rock and refuge are in God. (CJB) Safety and honor… Both strong and important words. They are supposed to REST ON God. Let HIM carry the load! Remember, HE fights the battle for us. HE is our STRONG ROCK and REFUGE. HE is the PLACE we find SOLITUDE and REST. Run to HIM today and let HIM be your REST. Shabbat Shalom… #Psalm #Rest #Shabbat

Lead me BACK...
Yesterday I gave you only the Lord’s Prayer. Simple yet profound. How does one follow that? I went back and forth today because I wasn’t sure what to share and I had several verses in my mind. I settled on one from Psalm. Psalm 139:23-24 Examine me, God, and know my heart; test me, and know my thoughts. See if there is in me any hurtful way, and lead me along the eternal way. (CJB) I am sure everyone has read this verse before, or heard it. It is pretty straight forward and D
