Many many verses in the Bible are filled with promises. Promises that God will take care of us, love us, and bring us through tough times. They ALL require obedience from us. They all require that we DO something. The verse I chose today is not a “warm and fuzzy” verse, but we must understand that this is what God requires of us. Today’s verse is from the book of Nahum! I am sure many of us do not realize that this book would have a verse like this in it since it is not a book we read very often. However, many of the prophets have encouraging words that can bring HOPE to our day. Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
