God is not so unfair...
I admit to being a little tired today. It is a Thursday. I know Shabbat is coming. Weather this week has been cool, then sunny, than rainy and well… I guess coming off a holiday for several days, I’m just tired. There have also been some circumstances that discouraged me. People not getting along. People who want to get work done for the Kingdom who can’t sort things and “part ways.” There are days that ministry work is tiring (not that other work isn’t - I don’t want to impl

Explain the HOPE...
I’ve had several verses from Psalm lately, so I thought I would find one from the New Testament. This one from I Peter is full of HOPE for today. I Peter 3:15 but treat the Messiah as holy, as Lord in your hearts; while remaining always ready to give a reasoned answer to anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you — yet with humility and fear, (CJB) My question as I read this verse is: Who wouldn’t want to treat the Messiah as HOLY?” Why wouldn’t someone want to b

Nothing can separate YOU from HIS Love...
A verse about HIS LOVE. What else can there be that is any more important to understand. Romans 8:39 neither powers above nor powers below, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God which comes to us through the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord. (CJB) ALL power packed PROMISES in this verse. No power. No other created thing. HIS LOVE is ALL surrounding. It has always been and always will be. When Jesus came as our Messiah everything was solidified.

Torah is summed up in one sentence...
Another verse from my BibleApp YouVersion. The book of Galatians is one book I love to read in the Complete Jewish Bible. The way it is explained is unique, and emphasizes the fact that it is not the “law” that is being discussed, but Torah. Galatians 5:14 For the whole of the Torah is summed up in this one sentence: “Love your neighbor as yourself”; (CJB) Most translations say Torah is “law.” Take for instance the TPT For love completes the laws of God. All of the law can be

Keep paying attention...
It is another day and we have much to be thankful for. Even when the sun doesn’t shine, or things seem difficult, we can find something to give thanks about. I have shared a lot about giving thanks. So, this morning when the following verse showed up on my BibleApp, it intrigued me to want to share about community. Hebrews 10:24 And let us keep paying attention to one another, in order to spur each other on to love and good deeds, (CJB) What does this verse have to do with co

I too have LOVED YOU...
Another verse about love… God’s love. Some might think, this gets old, but I truly believe that right now we must focus on HIS love. We need to truly understand how much HE loves us. So today the verse is from John 15:9 Just as my Father has loved me, I too have loved you; so stay in my love. (CJB) The Father loved Jesus… What an amazing thing to think about. And then, Jesus says that just as the Father has loved Him, HE LOVES US! Actually He says, “I too have LOVED YOU.” The

God IS Love...
I have been led to focus on the LOVE of God. I believe that during this time of year many people are actually lonely. It is a time when so much activity is happening that people get lost in the shuffle. Even though it is supposed to be a time when we focus on community, it doesn’t happen. Events here, and parties there, mean people just move from place to place and do not really stop to communicate. The verse for today is I John 4:16 Also we have come to know and trust the lo

YOU are LOVED!
Today is the last day of the Gregorian calendar year 2018. Many are making New Year’s Resolutions. Many are wanting to start the year with new beginnings. Yesterday I shared that Jesus prayed for you. My mind was drawn today to the word love. So many verses about love. However, the one my heart settled on is a verse so common even those who don’t believe in the Bible have heard it. John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only and unique Son, so that everyone w

Behave like a mentsh...
Today’s verse is from my YouVersion Bible App and showed up as my daily verse about a week ago. It was in the middle of Chanukah when I was sharing verses about light, so I chose to wait. The verse is from I Corinthians 16:13-14 Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, behave like a mentsh, grow strong. Let everything you do be done in love. (CJB) The first part of this verse is strong and powerful. STAY ALERT! STAND FIRM! These are all things that are expected and great reminder

Why I Celebrate Chanukah...
Within what is called the “Hebrew Roots” Movement there are many differing opinions on the two “non-Levitical” feasts. These are Purim and Chanukah. Both were not “commanded by God” in the Torah, so it becomes a question for people about whether or not they are “man-made traditions like Christmas and Easter. As I have processed and considered what these festivals mean, I have chosen to celebrate them and I hope I can explain in this document why. These festivals are mentioned
