Always Room to Grow
Proverbs 4:1-9 Listen, children, to a father’s instruction;
pay attention, in order to gain insight;
2 for I am giving you good advice;
so don’t abandon my teaching.
3 For I too was once a child to my father;
and my mother, too, thought of me as her special darling.
4 He too taught me; he said to me,
“Let your heart treasure my words;
keep my commands, and live;
5 gain wisdom, gain insight;
don’t forget or turn from the words I am saying.
6 Don’t abandon [wisdom]; then she wi

Adonai DELIGHTS in you
Proverbs 3:11-12 My son, don’t despise Adonai’s discipline or resent his reproof; 12 for Adonai corrects those he loves like a father who delights in his son. Discipline... We all know it needs to happen. Very few actually enjoy it. As I read the verses above what I recognized as I read it today, is we need to understand more that our Father DELIGHTS in us. If that is the core of what we understand, than discipline is not as challenging to accept! Do you REALLY KNOW that Adon

The Will of the Father
Matthew 26:55-56 55 Then Yeshua addressed the crowd: “So you came out to take me with swords and clubs, the way you would the leader of a rebellion? Every day I sat in the Temple court, teaching; and you didn’t seize me then. 56 But all this has happened so that what the prophets wrote may be fulfilled.” Then the talmidim all deserted him and ran away. If ever Jesus was going to feel alone, this is the time. All the disciples deserted Him and ran away. The comforting factor f

Father pursues YOU
Matthew 18:12-14 12 “What’s your opinion? What will somebody do who has a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine on the hillsides and go off to find the stray? 13 And if he happens to find it? Yes! I tell you he is happier over it than over the ninety-nine that never strayed! 14 Thus your Father in heaven does not want even one of these little ones to be lost. Not one little one... The Father truly does care for everyone in the world. His

Ask, Seek, Knock
Matthew 7:6-11 6 “Don’t give to dogs what is holy, and don’t throw your pearls to the pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, then turn and attack you. 7 “Keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps asking receives; he who keeps seeking finds; and to him who keeps knocking, the door will be opened. 9 Is there anyone here who, if his son asks him for a lo

Our Father has compassion...
Today is Father’s Day and so I chose to find a verse about fathers. Psalm 103:13 Just as a father has compassion on his children, Adonai has compassion on those who fear him. (CJB) As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. (ESV) Claim the FACT that you have a FATHER who loves YOU. Look UP. HE is your Redeemer. I had a great father growing up. He loved me. He took care of my needs. So many people today do not have a fathe

Parents BLESS your children...
Today’s verse is from one of the Torah portions last week. Todd and I have talked several times about the Friday night Shabbat blessings that the parents do over their children. Every Friday night there is a blessing for the boys and the girls. Over all the children there is the Aaronic blessing. We have found that blessing our children weekly, and daily as they need it, encourages and builds our children up. There is power in a parent’s blessing. Jacob did this over the 12 b

Heard from the beginning...
Today’s verse is one that popped up in my FB memory yesterday. It struck me in a different way this year because of many things I have learned. I knew immediately that I wanted to share about it, but I also needed time to ponder on what exactly to address. I pray that the video I did explained what I was thinking. I also pray that this blog will share a bit more. The verse is from I John 2:24-25 Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the b
